Chicago band Organ Wolf’s been together since the late 1990’s. They were covering Back In Black on synthesizers since before synthesizers were cool again. Their melting pot of inspiration includes Studs Terkel, Jim Nutt, Herb Alpert & David Lee Roth.

Gapers Block had a good take on the Organ Wolf sound with their review of the bands 2nd full length record: ”Take an old Hammond organ, soak it in beer, throw it in a truck and back it into the swamp. Sounds Like: Greasy food, sweaty sex, the south if it were overrun with Ghettotech idiot savants from Chicago. Professionalism (Scale of 1-10): 0. Soul (Scale of 1-10): 10. Drug Use: Probable.”

New Single Escape To Chicago

Organ Wolf was asked to provide live sounds and music to a screening of John Carpenter’s film Escape from New York. Most of the music was improvised while the band watched the film and played along. This process led to the song “Escape To Chicago”.

Originally titled “Escape from Chicago”, the name was changed to spread love for our fair city.

“It makes me want to go to the roller rink.”
– Kandy Korn

New Single BATHER LOAD 300

Analog and digital combine in Organ Wolf’s new single Bather Load 300. Influenced by analog tape splicing and the rise of artificial intelligence, this track is a wild ride.

“I need a cigarette after listening to that track. It’s like having a colonoscopy.”
– Harry Vetch

New Single DATTIKA

One night, after finishing rehearsal, Organ Wolf was listening to Sun Ra and Joe Meek.
Later that night all three Organ Wolf members independently dreamed of robots taking over Chicago.

They woke up the next day, got together and wrote the song Dattika.

“Damn son! This track makes me want to chug a Modelo and swim across Lake Nokomis!”

– Pooch Karton
